Fold it like Beckham
David Beckham takes us on a tour of his closet and it does not disappoint.

Let’s break it down shall we? In the binge worthy @netflix docuseries, Beckham, @davidbeckham takes us on a tour of his closet and it does not disappoint. Not only does he color coordinate his clothes, they are categorized as well. He starts with his jackets and shirts, then “jumpers” and “cardis”. He has a separate closet just for his suits, lined up in perfect order.
My favorite part could be when the camera guy asked him to explain the clothes on the rolling rack. It was his face for me. The sheepish way he put his hand on his neck, looked at the camera and said, “I prep my week”. Like he was embarrassed. It was so sweet. He said he used to pick out his clothes the night before. Now he chooses the whole week ahead of time. Accessories included.
So here’s what I’m talking about. Here’s what’s causing me to rethink my whole existence. The hanging clothes are flawless. But that is not what’s blowing professional organizer’s minds today. It’s his drawers. It’s how he lays his perfectly folded t-shirts in the drawers at an angle.
His underwear are file folded. But his t-shirts are “obviously at an angle so I can see what’s under them.” Obviously? Now friends, you know we file fold t-shirts in drawers so you can see all your shirts at once. But has David Beckham showed us there is another way?? This is what’s keeping me up at night.
And no, a professional organizer did not come in and organize his closet for him. This is all him. @davidbeckham, if you are seeing this, please come work for @homemethodco in your retirement.
